Why are Immigration Medical Examinations needed?
These medical exams are performed in order to verify that you are in good health and admissible to become a United States resident or citizen. A Form called I-693 must be completed to determine if you need any medical care after you immigrate to the US or adjust your status to become a permanent resident.
What is a Civil Surgeon?

As per the USCIS guidelines, a Civil Surgeon is a Doctor, selected and qualifiedto conduct medical exams of aliens living in the United States who are applying for Adjustment of their Immigration status to become Permanent Resident or who are required by USCIS to have a medical examination.

If a Patient lives outside the State of California, may Dr Nancy Pinedo help with this Exam?

Yes, the USCIS has allowed to any Certified Civil Surgeon to help any person applying to Green Card regardless his current address into the USA

What happens after I do the medical exam?

Our office will fill out the updated Form I-693 for you, and the results will be sealed in an envelope that you give to USCIS. You should not open the sealed envelope.
